I must admit, I was very sceptical about buying this. I originally was going to go with the Ennon, but chose not to because it didn't have a built in navigation, you had to use your phones data in order to utilize Google maps and I did not want that. I bought this one and it came to me within two days. By this time of waiting for the delivery I must have read and watch many install articles and videos. Now, I know for myself, I did not want to take too long installing this headunit. I watched a video of it taking a guy 4 hours and yeah, that's not me... I wanted to be in and out like a robbery...So let me break down what you may want to avoid (up to you) and this is completely up to you.For me, I don't want to touch anything that has to do with the air bag system at all, I was in an accident and that has placed the fear of God in me.So with that said, I installed the Navi antenna above the glove box compartment, so when you remove the head unit, reach up to the right hand side and feel above the glove compartment and you will feel a plastic cage or bars and that is where I placed it, I have large hands, so if your hands are smaller you will get further back, however where I placed it works fine and it works very well. So no need to detach the glove compartment, no need to remove the pillar or rubber gasket, there is no metal blocking above the glove box so there is no metal interference. So just with that you saved yourself any where from 30 minutes to and hour of time. There is no need to install the mic that came with the unit. so no need to waste another hour removing the other pillar, or the lower steering wheel compartment because the unit had a built in mic that works very well. So you just saved yourself another hour there by not installing the mic. Now, I found out the hard way that I have fiber optic cable, they say you have it only if you have the upgrades system, or OEM Navi and I was unaware that you also have it if you have the Bluetooth and satellite radio, so when i installed it, I had sound but I also had the sos warning on the dash. So, with that said, the system will still work but you will not be able to remove that sos warning on your own. You will have to find someone who codes BMW cars and have those options deleted in order to remove that warning. Now, this is a great system and I love the Navi, warning, lower the Navi volume right away before using it, because for some reason they have the Navi volume set to high and it will scare the living sh-t out of you especially if you're installing this at night. The Navi has speed warning, it displays the speed which is off by three miles but is still great. The only thing I don't like about the Navi is that each time you touch a button having to do with the Navi it lowers the music. From what I see there is no way around that.I was able to download YouTube music and also download the music from my account onto the headunit. So if you have a house, you can use your WiFi to download apps, that is of your car is close enough to your house to get the wifi. The sound:The sound is much more louder and Fuller than the original headunit, but it has lost its warm sound. Many would love the louder music, which there is nothing wrong with that, but it has lost the warm rich sound and that is even with messing with the EQ settings. However, I still like it and am planing to upgrade the speaking very soon which I am sure will make this head unit shine even further.I don't like that there isn't a treble or bass setting, everything is through the EQs, which is nothing wrong with that, but if you are unfamiliar with using EQs then you may have a very hard time getting the right sound.Load time is great, it's not the fastest, but it isn't the slowest, so now complaining from me on that end.Bluetooth is great for calls and music, although I rather just use the head unit for music which is why I downloaded YouTube music.Steering wheel functions are great, the only thing I don't like is the volume button, you have to tap it for each volume rise or drop. So if you want to lower th
