I have a 2014 wrangler that had the stock ‘dumb’ radio in it, Bluetooth, hands free calling, and steering wheel controls. I’ve had this new radio installed for a few days now.The pros: Bluetooth works great, I haven’t had a problem connecting or playing music. Cd/dvd player works great, it doesn’t skip over bumps or anything. Radio works good. After messing around with the equalizer, you can get some pretty good sound out of this stereo. I had already upgraded my speakers, so I can’t say how it sounds with stock speakers. Touchscreen is very responsive, and general interface works very well. It has nice options for button colors and screen brightness. (Code: 3506 to change wallpapers)The cons: No instructions for install. The labeling on the harnesses I got didn’t have coherent labeling, but there’s not too many parts, so you it’s not too hard to figure out. If you are born and raised in the states, the navigation is close to useless. The units of distance are only in kilometers, and there is no way to change to miles. The interface is not too user friendly. It reminds me of an older Garmin gps, but if you have a smart phone, you’re better off using it over Bluetooth. The clock will not convert over to a 12hr and will only display a 24hr clock. It has a function to program steering wheel controls and map them, but this has never worked for me. Sometimes it will respond to my steering wheel controls right after start up, but then after a few minutes it decides to not respond to steering wheel controls. Realistically, it’s not a big issue for me, but if you are expecting to use steering wheel controls, this may happen. Lastly, it’s a bit unpredictable. Sometimes it will respond to the steering wheel controls sometimes not. Sometimes it turns off right when you turn the engine off, other times it will run for another ten seconds or so after you turn the engine off and get out. There's also an echo for the people on the phone during calls, but using the provided microphone may fix that.Overall it’s a solid radio. Most of the cons I have are based off some conveniences and extras. For what I was looking for, it is great! It connects to the phone automatically and well, it sounds good, and it has a cd/dvd player. I was just looking for the audio side, and I think it’s great for that. But if you are expecting more or expecting everything to work perfectly, you may want to look elsewhere. Then again, maybe it’s just because it doesn’t go well with a Jeep’s brain.Update: 1/14/22I bumped this up to 5 stars! After digging into this stereo a little more, I was able to fix my earlier problems. You have to go through a couple of the navigation menus, but you can change the units to miles instead of kilometers. After going into the manufacturer settings (use code 5839) I you can adjust a lot. Even changing the clock to 12hr instead of 24hr. As far as the unpredictability, it boils down to a heat and vibration issue. In a wrangler, there’s not a whole lot of insulation around the vents, so in the winter time, all of that heat just rises right to the radio and I think it made it overheat to where it wouldn’t turn back on until it cooled off. Also, the canbus module that needs to be hooked up to retain steering wheel controls, I think that was also vibrating around and getting too hot from the vents. After insulating around the vents with foam and then padding the canbus in foam as well, everything is working perfectly and consistently. I installed the provided microphone to see if it would remove the echo during phone calls, but it didn’t seem to change anything. As far as I can see, the phone call thing is the only con with this radio. Everything else is great now! It just takes a little more prep work and digging through settings to make it what you want. If you have a wrangler, I highly recommend insulating and padding with foam.

I put this unit in my 2009 Dodge Ram 1500. I along with the help of my 5 year old installed this unit in less than 1 1/2 hours with a back up camera. Very straight forward and easy, I have installed car stereo for years and this was easy. I added a reverse camera which was the hardest part. Easy use and fits great. I recommend this all day every day.

I did an extreme amount of research trying to find a close to factory radio as possible. As most know the Jeep radios start to lose their volume on all features. Ours was no exception. I ordered a replacement stock radio from a Jeep parts company I buy stuff from and it was back ordered twice. The were understanding and refunded me. I looked at reviews for a while and came across this guy. There were a few bad reviews, which I'm chalking up to user error. This guy came boxed very securely and had everything I needed for the install. Didn't even need to use butt connectors. Pulled the old radio out plugged this guy in and it worked!! The sound quality is great, has a banded EQ. Color changing features, screen savers, Bluetooth works great and my steering wheel controls worked 1st try. The GPS is a little bit slow, but I haven't driven around much to let it properly calibrate, yet. Overall, I'm happy with this purchase, the only reason I gave it 4 stars, is because some of the features are hard to get to, but very happy!
